A critic is born!

All my life, I’ve wanted to work in the movies. As I grew older and discovered my interest in watching films, I also came upon a new interest – critiquing films. I love to pick apart and analyze films and leave you really thinking! Follow me on my search for the most obscure films and see if I can’t find one that’ll force me out of my theatre seat (however unlikely).

Are you looking for a film that moves you? A film that makes you think? Makes you cry? Makes you laugh? Makes you question? Avoid the mainstream and choose the independent route where stories are told and the limits of visual perception are taken to the extreme. I am a critic of those films that fit into their own category of unusual and films that tend to pass by the naked eye.

My review blog will begin in the new year with the intriguing Wim Wenders film Pina, a choreographer’s dream and homage to Pina Bausch. As I sat in the theatre recently with my two friends ready to watch Lars von Trier’s end-of-the-world drama Melancholia (my third screening of this unbelievable film), a stunning trailer came on that caught my attention instantly. Needless to say, my friends politely asserted, “Count us out.” Check back in early January for updates and film reviews that will leave your brain tingling!

Alright, Mr. DeMille. I’m ready for my close-up!
